In this tutorial, I’m going to show you a super simple eye makeup routine for ladies over 50.
If you’re in a rush in the morning or you simply don’t want to spend a long time on your makeup, this routine is perfect for you as it only takes a maximum of two minutes of your time.
The products I'm using today are from the Look Fabulous Forever range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of product.

Tools and materials:
- Primer
- Eyeshadow
- Thin brush
- Eyeliner
- Mascara
1. Primer
Start by priming your lids. This will create a nice even surface to apply the eyeshadow.
2. Light eyeshadow
Now add a light brown shade of eyeshadow.
3. Dark eyeshadow
Then go in with a darker brown shade of eyeshadow in your crease.
4. Add shape
Pick up some of the dark brown shade of eyeshadow on a thin brush and draw a thin line at the bottom of your lids.
Also, apply some eyeshadow to your waterline to frame your eyes and add some smokiness.
5. Eyeliner
Next, line your eyes with eyeliner.
6. Mascara
The last step is to accentuate your eyes with mascara.
Eye makeup for over 50s
Here is the finished makeup look. I love how my eyes are nicely framed with the mascara and the eyeshadow.
The two shades of brown eyeshadow are gorgeous neutral colors that compliment my natural skin tone.

amazing! will be doing this!
I am a retired model and this is close to how I was taught. But please let me be completely honest with you….You don’t need the top liner. It actually makes you look older and your eyes darker and smaller. Therefore you look tired. Now that I’m older I forgo the top liner & use a very thin brown liner on the bottom. I also no longer go for the darker dramatic look because I’m nearly 56 and I’m starting to get fine lines and loose skin and it doesn’t look cute when it gets all bunched up. It definitely adds 5+ years to us. I go for a fresher cleaner look so I don’t look I’m trying to cover up the fact that I’m aging. When going out or celebrating I do go darker than my daily wear make up. But I still stay away from dark liner and heavy mascara. Anyway that’s my 2cents on it anyway.
