How to Apply Eyeliner for My Women Over 40
Follow along with this tutorial on how to apply eyeliner for my women over 40.
When we’re younger, we can get away with imperfect makeup. Getting the techniques right becomes essential as we age. Makeup applied incorrectly can cause us to look older.
This tip will keep you looking fresh-faced!
Smooth under eye puffiness and wrinkles!
Tools and materials:
- Eyeliner
1. Pop and lock
Use your pinky finger and push down on your top eyelid just above the lash line.
This will cause your lashes to pop out the lid and lock it in place, giving you access to the skin around and below your lashes.
2. Draw the line
Take your eyeliner and draw a line across the lash line all the way from the inner corner of the lid to the outer corner.
3. Wing it
Once you get to the end of your lash line, you’re going to create the wing.
It's important to bring the line upward to a point that measures as high as the tips of your lashes.
It’s also important for the line to go upwards as opposed to straight or down. If the line goes straight or down, your eyelid will look droopy.
Draw the wing so it’s rising up mimicking the shape of the lashes. Take your finger and blend out.

What color eyeliner do you recommend for women over 50?
Please please emphasize that fair skin & hair color will look more natural with lighter color liner (if you must line the eyes) & mascara. Nothing is more awful than older women lining eyes in black! Way too harsh! Brown tones of shadow look natural with all skin & hair tones if trying flashy colors is too intimidating. Remember as you age...less is more. And you need to start skin care in your 40s. The benefits will pay off. People are amazed to learn I'm over 60....way
way over! 😄
