Tools and Materials:
- Fluffy blending brush
- Flat shader brush
- Small angled brush for liner
- Small pencil brush for lower lash line or inner corner
- Eyeshadow palette (matte and shimmer shades recommended)
- Mascara
- Optional: Half false lashes and lash glue
- Q-tips and makeup remover (e.g., Bioderma)
1. Choose the right brushes
Start with four essential brushes: a fluffy blending brush for the crease, a flat shader brush for the lid, a small angled brush for liner, and a pencil brush for the lower lash line or inner corner.
Remember, quality over quantity matters most.
2. Select your eyeshadow palette
Pick a palette with both matte and shimmer shades, and a mix of warm and cool tones.
3. Blend the crease
Using a fluffy brush, pick a shade 1–2 shades darker than your skin tone. Press the brush into the back of your hand to coat evenly.
Then, blend into your crease with light windshield wiper motions to create a soft guide for the rest of your eye look.
4. Apply the lid shade
Use a flat shader brush to pack a light matte or shimmery shade onto your mobile lid, keeping the color below the crease.
Lighter shades make eyes appear bigger and awake, while darker shades create a sultry effect.
5. Create easy eyeliner
With a small angled brush, stamp a dark brown shadow along your upper lash line to mimic eyeliner. This softens the look and is beginner-friendly.
Correct the edges using a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover for a cleaner finish.
6. Define the lower lash line
Apply the same crease shade (or slightly darker) along your lower lash line with a pencil brush. Tap off excess shadow to prevent fallout and apply lightly for subtle enhancement.
7. Finish with mascara
Apply mascara by wiggling the brush at the base of your lashes and sweeping upwards. This ensures even coverage and longer-looking lashes. Clean any smudges with a clean spoolie once dry.
8. Apply false lashes (optional)
For added drama, use half lashes on the outer corner. Apply lash glue, wait for it to get tacky, then attach with tweezers. Press gently to secure.
