Try This Cute Style Idea for Mid-Length Hair

Here’s a perfect hairstyle for mid-length hair.

You don’t have to use the hot brush at the end, but I find it really helps to pull the style together and stop the ends separating.

Tools and materials: 

• Hair brush
• Hair wax stick
• 2 large hair ties
• 1 small hair tie
• Hot brush

1. Brush and part

Brush your hair well and part it nearly down the center.

2. Waxing

If you have flyaways as I do, a wax stick will really help your hair to look as smooth and sleek as it needs to be for this style.

Apply it liberally over your hair for about 2 inches (5 cm) either side of the parting. 

Pull your hair back at each side and wax the roots there too.

3. Make the bunches

Knot two large hair ties together so you have two separate loops that are joined in the center.

Pull one side of your hair back into a high pony tail at the side of your crown.

Wrap one of the hair tie loops around it to hold it securely, leaving the other loop free.

Pull the other side back in the same way and secure it with the free loop, so the pony tails are held together at the top of your head.

4. Join and flip

Wrap the smaller hair tie around both of the bunches, about 2 inches (5 cm) from your scalp.

Flip this single tail up through the space between the two bunches and pull it through.

5. Flick up the ends

Use a hot brush to smooth your hair and turn up the ends.

Use it on the pony tails as well, to finish the ends and smooth the different sections together.

The result is a glossy, bouncy high pony tail. It looks cute and gives height and volume at the crown of your head.
