- Soft gray eyeliner
- Eye shadow brushes (standard and fine)
- Wedge brush
- Black mascara
- Taupe eyeliner pencil (also used for brows)
1. Prep the eyelids with primer
Apply a thin layer of eye prime across the entire eyelid. This helps your eye makeup stay put all day and prevents it from settling into creases, especially important for mature skin.
2. Apply soft gray eyeliner
Use the soft gray eyeliner to line your upper lash line as close to the lashes as possible. Keep the line thin and even.
3. Blend soft gray eyeshadow over the lid
Using your eye shadow brush, apply the soft gray shade from the palette starting at the midpoint of your eyelid and blending it across the entire lid. This creates a soft wash of color that's flattering and natural-looking.
4. Define the crease with pewter shadow
With a finer brush, use the pewter shade from the palette to define the crease. Gently apply in a V-shape at the outer corner of your eye, then blend. This adds subtle depth without harsh lines.
5. Soften the lash line with shadow
Using a wedge brush, take the pewter shade again and lightly go over the eyeliner along the lash line. This softens the liner for a more natural, blended effect—ideal for mature eyes.
6. Add mascara
Apply black mascara to your lashes, focusing on lifting and lengthening. Sparse lashes are common with age, but a touch of mascara adds noticeable definition.
7. Fill in brows with pencil
For a quick brow touch-up, use the taupe eyeliner pencil in short, light strokes to fill and define her brows. It doubles as both an eyeliner and a brow pencil, making it convenient for everyday use.
