You Can Make This With Just ROPE?! 😱
When space is at a premium, we have to get creative. I love large brimmed hats, but they take up a lot of shelf space.
I came up with this great DIY hat storage idea out of necessity and I hope you’re as impressed with it as I am!

Tools and materials:
1. Cut lengths of rope
You’ll probably need a whole spool of medium thickness rope or string for this.
Start by knocking a nail or hook into the wall.
Cut six super long pieces of rope and loop them over your finger.
Make sure you have equal lengths on each side.
2. Prepare the rope
Fold the lengths in half and tie the loop into a knot.
Hang the loop from the nail or hook.
3. Start braiding
Separate the strands below the knot so you have six on each side.
Divide the strands on one side into three groups of two.
Braid them together down the length of the rope.
Knot the ends to hold them in place and braid the other side in the same way.
4. Ribbon ties
Cut two lengths of pretty ribbon.
Wrap one piece around the bottom of the loop and tie it into a bow.
Trim the ends diagonally to stop them from fraying.
Tie the second piece in a bow around the two braids, about two thirds of the way down their length. Trim the ends as before.
Adjust the position of this bow to fit the size of your hat.
Slip the crown of your hat into the large loop between the two bows.
