Quick and Easy Faux Braid Hairstyle for the New Year

Braids can be complicated, especially if you’re new to doing them, so this hairstyle is a great way to get a unique braided look with very little work.

1. Part behind your ear
Start with a deep side part. On the side with less hair, section your hair just behind your ear. This is the hair we’ll be working with.
2. Clip away the rest
Clip the rest of your hair away for now.
3. Tie off a small section
Take a small section of hair a couple of inches thick and tie it off with a small, clear hair tie. Tighten it.
4. Repeat
Repeat step 3 until you reach your hair. Combine the tail of the previous section with the section below it.
5. Add accessories
Add braid cuffs to the tail just beneath the section.
