All you need are two brooches, one safety pin and a button-down top to recreate this fun twist on a classic wardrobe piece.

- Button-down shirt
- Small brooch
- Large brooch (optional)
- Safety pin

1. Cross the collar
Start this fashion hack by crossing one side of the collar to the opposite side. Secure this in place with a small, decorative brooch.
This small, asymmetrical detail already upgrades your basic top.
2. Attach safety pin and pull tail through it
Next, poke a medium-sized safety pin through the inside of your shirt so that the bulky part of the pin stays on the inside.
Next, close the safety pin and pull the end of the opposite side through the gap.
