5 Minute Natural Makeup Look for Older Women

Hi, I’m Anna and I’ve been a part of Look Fabulous Forever, a makeup and skincare brand founded by my mother, almost since the beginning.

With my experience in product development and my recent milestone of turning 50, I feel incredibly lucky to have access to high-quality makeup that helps me look and feel great every day.

The products I'm using today are from the  Look Fabulous Forever range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of product.

Life is busy—whether it’s walking the dog, getting the kids to school, or heading to work—so this routine is perfect for those on the go.

Five minutes on the timer

Note: Before applying my makeup, I had already prepped my skin with SPF 50 and my day cream, ensuring a well-hydrated and protected base.

1. Light look beauty balm

To start, I apply our Light Look Beauty Balm in shade five. I dispense a small amount onto the back of my hand and use a foundation brush to blend it evenly across my face, moving from the center outward.

This step provides a smooth and natural-looking base while offering light coverage. I also use my fingers to ensure an even finish, paying special attention to areas that need extra blending.

2. Concealer for added brightness

Next, I take my concealer brush and apply concealer in the inner corners of my eyes and any areas that need additional coverage.

This step helps brighten my face and combat any signs of fatigue—especially on a Friday after a long week!

3. Eyeshade trio for subtle definition

For my eyes, I use our Warm Browns eyeshadow palette.

First, I apply the light cream shade as a base to even out my eyelid tone, skipping eye primer for the sake of time.

Then, I use the mid-tone shade in my crease with a small brush to add definition and shape.

To ensure a seamless blend, I take a larger brush and soften any harsh edges.

Finally, using an angled brush and the darkest shade, I line my upper lash line for subtle depth, which helps make my lashes appear fuller.

I’m also lining my lower lashes until the midpoint of the eye.

4. Mascara for lifted lashes

Our Live Lash Mascara is my go-to for naturally enhanced lashes. It lengthens without making them stiff or spiky, leaving a soft yet defined look.

A few quick strokes open up my eyes and complete the eye makeup effortlessly.

5. Blush for a healthy glow

To bring some color to my face, I use our cream-to-powder blush. I apply it with my fingers, dabbing it onto the apples of my cheeks and blending outward.

This formula is easy to work with and buildable, allowing me to achieve a fresh and natural flush.

  • I don’t see any difference except for a little shine to the lips. Skin looks dull and dry. Maye a moisturizer should be added before makeup is applied and a setting lotion applied when finished to give a dewy look.

Brow definition and lipstick with liner might be more effective. 😉
