1. Prime the skin

Apply a thin, even layer of face primer over your clean face. This creates a silky base and helps makeup last. A quick sweep across the T-zone, cheeks and chin is enough.

2. Apply the beauty balm

Use beauty balm with foundation brush No. 10. Start in the center of your face (nose, forehead, cheeks) and work outward for quick, even coverage.

Put a tiny amount on the eyelids too if you’re skipping a separate eye primer.

3. Conceal spots and dark circles

Dot concealer onto sun/age spots, any blemishes and into the inner/outer corners of your eye where dark circles show.

Blend gently so it doesn’t cake. This evens tone while staying natural.

4. Sweep a matte taupe wash on the lids

Using a brush No. 7, sweep the taupe matte shadow across your lid and slightly above the socket line to lift your eyes. Keep the application soft and blended for an instant, natural definition.

5. Fill in brows quickly

With wedge brush No. 8 and the same taupe shade, softly fill sparse areas of your brow to sharpen the shape. Short, light strokes follow the brow hair for a natural finish.

6. Add quick, cream highlights

Use a creamy pearl eyeshadow stick on the inner corners of your eyes, under the brow bone and a tiny dot in the center of your lid for brightness.

Swipe a little on the cheekbones as a fast, dewy highlighter.

7. Define the lash line with soft eyeliner

Draw a soft, close-to-the-lash-line line with the dark brown eyeliner. Smudge or lift slightly at the outer corner to open your eyes. Skip the lower liner or apply a faint line only if you want extra definition.

8. Apply mascara

Wiggle lash mascara at the base of your upper lashes and sweep upward to thicken and open your eyes.

Remove hair clips, do a quick mirror check (blend any edges, smudge liner if needed) and you’re ready to go.

That’s it for your five-minute makeup tutorial for older women!

Key tips: double up multitasking products (cream stick, lipstick), start from the center when buffing base products, and keep eye makeup soft and lifting.

Practice once or twice to find a speed that works for you, you’ll shave time each run-through.
