Keep Makeup Off Your Hats With This Genius Fashion Hack
Do you wear the style of hat that sits low on your forehead, like a peaked cap or baseball hat?
If so and you wear make-up, you probably have the same problem that I do. My make-up rubs off on the inner band at the front and stains it.
This genius idea is a quick and easy way to prevent that.
Tools and materials:
- Panty liner
1. Identify stains
Check your hat to see where the stains are, to make sure you’re going to cover the correct area.
2. Open panty liner
Remove the panty liner from its wrapping, being careful not to touch the sticky side.
3. Apply
Press the panty liner, adhesive side down, to the inner band of the cap at the center front.
Make sure it’s pressed firmly in position and can’t be seen from the outside.
4. Wear your hat
Put your hat on and check it’s comfortable.
It works for all similar styles of hat.

At the end of the day, just remove the liner and your cap is clean and free of make-up.
It can be hard to remove those stains, so it’s best to avoid getting them on the hat in the first place.
For something more permanent, you could glue a strip of velcro inside the hat and attach a piece of washable fabric in the same place. But this is a great solution if you’re in a hurry.

I love this idea. I wear a baseball hat when out for a walk. I often sweat as the summer is HOT & HUMID in the southeast. This will keep the sweat & sunscreen off my caps. I will definitely try this.
