How to Give Yourself Your Own SALON GRADE Haircut at Home
Hey everyone. I’m going to show you how to give yourself your own salon-grade haircut at home.

Tools and materials:
- Haircutting scissors
- Hair elastics
1. Make first cuts
Wash your hair and leave it wet. Section your hair with half on one side and half on the other.
Put hair elastics on each side at the length you want to cut. Cut right above the hair elastics.
2. Pull it forward
Pull all of your hair forward and make a ponytail hanging from your forehead in front of your face. Cut the ends in a straight line.
Then turn the scissors upwards and cut a few snips up into the ends.
Take your hair down and then pull the top half of the hair up pulling it together in a ponytail hanging over your forehead.
Cut the ends in a straight line, then turn the scissors upwards and cut a few snips up into the ends.
Then do the same process with a smaller section of the front of your hair.
3. Frame your face
To create angles to frame your face, gather the hair around the forehead going an inch back.
Cut the center section straight across at the desired length, snipping up at the ends after.
Cut the side sections at an angle and snip up at the ends after.

I do something similar to my hair but my hair is about 4 inches shorter than yours. Your hair looks great after your cut, but why do you do the upward snips? What does that do for your hair? 😊
