Upgrade Any Bag With a Scarf
I love using scarves to accessorize my clothes and I include them in my outfits whenever I can. They’re a quick and easy way to upgrade almost any look.
Here’s an especially cool way to change the look of a plain bag with a scarf. I’m using a printed, silky scarf that tones with my outfit.

Tools and materials:
- Bag with flap and detachable handle
- Large square scarf
1. Fold it
Fold your scarf in half diagonally and hold it in front of you by the top of the longest side.
Grab the point and bring it across the scarf to the fold.
Keeping the point tucked inside, roll the scarf vertically across the width.
2. Tie it
Drape the scarf over your shoulder to keep the roll intact for the next step.
Pass the ends through the handle attachment points on each side of the bag and knot them securely.
3. Cross it
You can wear the bag as it is, across your body.
If you prefer a shoulder bag, you can make the handle shorter.
Lift the flap of the bag and make a loop in the scarf.
Pass the bag flap through the loop.

Feel free to adapt this idea with other styles of bag to coordinate them with your outfits. It gives them a fresh, new look.
You could even incorporate a chain or bead belt by twisting it around the scarf and clipping the ends to your bag.
