How not to cuff jeans

Stop cuffing your jeans like this! This is the old-fashioned way of cutting your jeans, but this new way is much more trendy and cool.

We still want the cuff of our jeans to *look* cuffed instead of hemmed, but we want to strip the thick and bulky look. Here’s how!

Tucking jeans

1. Tuck the bottom of your jeans underneath

Start by tucking your jeans under instead of folding them over!

Start tucking about halfway up the length of where you want your cuff to start. The hem of your jeans should still be sticking out the bottom!

Folding the hem

2. Fold the hem over the jeans

Fold the hem that’s still sticking out upwards like you would the traditional cuff and adjust your jeans accordingly!

You fold them over so they're snug, then roll them up. It's called "pegging" not "cuffing," and we did it in the '80s. It was probably a thing before the '80s, though. If you do it the way you suggest, they'll fall down pretty easily.

Why are "Flood Water" pants in style? 😂 My legs are long, so growing up my jeans were ALWAYS short! I literally got teased because of that. These days they're in Style 😂 Kids today don't know how good they got it 👍
