Here's a sweater I've been loving lately! I'll link it here for easy reference. With all the wear it's been getting, a snag was bound to happen sooner or later.
Here's a close up of the snag. You'll notice that a loop appears. Whatever you do, do not cut it!
This is all you will need. Bobby pins or a small crochet hook will work!
Take your bobby pin and loop the thread through it. You'll want to make sure that the loop is pulled down to the bottom of the bobby pin.
Now take your bobby pin and feed it through the open gap where the snag happened. Make sure that it is cleanly fed through the opening and that you don't catch any other fabric in the process.
Pull the bobby pin with the fabric looped on entirely through the back side gently.
Now the snagged fabric will appear on the inside of your knit garment. You can unhook the bobby pin now.
Here's how the front side looks now, just like new! You'd never know there was ever a large snag, and your sweater will feel as good as new again!
And there you have it, a simple, quick fix to save your favourite sweater from an unfortunate snag. With just a bobby pin and a few seconds, you can keep your knitwear looking flawless and extend its life. Try this trick next time and see how effortlessly you can restore your wardrobe staples!
