DIY Holiday Tassel Earrings
Add a touch of holiday charm to your accessory collection with these easy-to-make Christmas tassel earrings.
Using simple materials like sewing thread and miniature ornament toppers, you can create a unique festive look.
Tools and materials:
- Gold sewing thread (or any festive color)
- Miniature tree ornament toppers (two, one for each earring)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- Earring hooks
- Jump rings (optional, for attaching the tassel to the earring hooks)
- Needle-nose pliers (for assembling the earrings)
1. Make the tassels
Cut a bunch of gold sewing thread to your desired tassel length (e.g., 5–7 cm). Fold the threads together into a neat bundle and tie them tightly near the top to form the tassel shape.
2. Attach the ornament topper
Remove the topper from a miniature tree ornament. Push the tied end of the thread bundle into the topper. Secure it with a dab of hot glue.
3. Assemble the earring
Attach the ornament topper (now holding the tassel) to an earring hook. If the topper has a loop, you can connect it directly to the hook.
If needed, use a jump ring for a smoother connection. Use needle-nose pliers to open and close the jump ring securely.
4. Repeat for the second earring
Repeat steps 1–3 to create the second earring, ensuring both tassels are of equal length and appearance.
