If you are looking for ways to elevate your button-down shirts, check out this simple, but awesome hack.
Tools and materials:
1. Start with a shirt
Pick out any button-down shirt from your wardrobe.
Is it missing some oomph? Then get ready for this hack.
2. Choose a ribbon
Pick out some fashion ribbon that is a couple of inches wide and coordinates or matches with your button-down shirt.
If your shirt has a pattern, pick a matching solid color.
If your shirt is a plain, choose any coordinating solid-colored or patterned ribbon.
3. Attach the ribbon to your short
Start with a large safety pin.
Attach the safety pin to the side-seam of your shirt, at the waist.
Undo the short button at the waistline, and thread one end of the ribbon through the buttonhole.
Then, thread the ribbon through the safety pin, as though it was a belt loop.
Bring the back end of the ribbon forward, and tie it with the end of the ribbon that went through the buttonhole.
Note, that the ribbon is not going around the back of your waist.
Cinch the ribbon at your waist and tie a bow.
Now your shirt has a bit of wrap-around look to it, with that stunning bow accessory.
