A “Perfectly Easy” Tropical Co-Ord Set From Wardrobe by Me Patterns

 There’s something effortlessly chic about a matching co-ord set. It is comfortable to wear, easy to style, and when you make it yourself—you get a one-of-a-kind look that’s tailored perfectly. 

For this project, I reached for two tried-and-true patterns from   Wardrobe by Me: the Perfect Tunic and the Easy Pants (which I customized with a wider leg).

The Patterns: Effortless and Adaptable

The  Perfect Tunic – True to its name, this tunic is a wardrobe essential. Its clean lines let the fabric shine, and it’s versatile enough to dress up or down.

This pattern features a:

• Relaxed, flattering silhouette 
• Placket and collar
• Sleeve options include: a cuff and simple roll-up sleeve. I adapted my sleeves by widening the bottom and not adding a cuff. 

Easy Pants 

These pants really live up to their name! I widened the legs slightly for a breezier, more flowy fit. 

They feature an ultra-comfortable elastic waistband and plenty of pocket space.  The relaxed shape of the pant balances beautifully with the tunic and adds to the laid-back tropical mood. Together, they create a coordinated set that looks polished but feels like secret pajamas—win-win!

The star of this outfit styling is definitely was the fabric. I chose a beautifully soft double gauze from  Mood Fabrics, printed with oversized tropical leaves. Double gauze has that dreamy, cloud-like texture that makes it ideal for warm weather garments—it breathes, drapes, and feels amazing against the skin. With such a bold print, the fabric instantly gave me “resort mode” vibes. It’s a relaxed co-ord set made with two great patterns; the perfect pairing.

To give this set a unique twist, I embellished the tunic’s sleeve with a vintage pearl trim. Just that little shimmer at the cuff adds elegance and makes the outfit feel more intentional and styled. It’s a reminder that even simple silhouettes can be elevated with thoughtful details.

 I love the styling versatility of this look.  Together, it looks like a statement jumpsuit, perfect for dinners out or vacation evenings.

As separates, the tunic pairs beautifully with denim or slim trousers, while the pants work well with a tucked-in tee or tank.

The Perfect Tunic and Easy Pants patterns from  Wardrobe by Me are aptly named—they’re straightforward to make and customizable. Paired with a bold tropical print and finished with vintage trim, this co-ord set feels both timeless and personal.
