Scarf Game Strong for Summer Nights 💖🥰
This is one of my favorite ways to add style, glamor and a touch of drama to a simple dress.
You need a large scarf - the larger the better - for the best effect. I love to use a fine chiffon so the outline of my dress shows through it.
Tools and materials:Â Â
- Large rectangular fine silk or chiffon scarf
1. Choose your scarf
Today I’m wearing a plain black dress with a simple cut and a colorful belt.
I’ve chosen a dramatic black and white printed scarf which is slightly transparent.
The long side of the scarf measures nearly six feet (180 cm).
2. Drape it
Place the long edge behind your back and over your shoulders.
Bring the shorter sides forward.
Adjust them so they hang evenly.
3. Fasten it
Decide where you want the closure to be.
I find that around waist height is the most flattering for my shape.
Gather a small piece of fabric from each front edge.
Cross one piece over the other.
Tie the free ends in a simple knot.
4. Adjust it
Make sure the front hangs evenly.
Adjust the neckline so it feels comfortable.

Now my outfit is a real show stopper! My cover up is cool and comfortable and not too bulky.
