5 Laundry Hacks You HAVE to Know!
I have five cool laundry hacks for you that you just have to know!
They will make your life easier and your laundry cleaner and fresher. So what are you waiting for?
Best white vinegar value pack!
Tools and materials:
- White vinegar
- Dryer sheet
- Saucepan
1. Wash the detergent cup
After adding your detergent to the machine, toss the cup in as well.
The machine will clean all the goop out of it for you!
2. Clean the lint vent
Use a dryer sheet to clean all the lint off the vent and from inside the dryer.
They’re designed to remove static, so they won’t leave any chunks or debris behind.
3. Fabric softener
Replace your fabric softener with white vinegar.
It won’t leave any build-up on your clothes and they’ll be cleaner and softer.
4. DIY iron
Did your clothes come out of the machine crumpled but you don’t have an iron?
Just heat an empty pan on the stove for one minute and use it to iron out the wrinkles in seconds.
5. Dry sports shoes quietly
Instead of listening to that thumping noise while your sports shoes dry, close the laces in the door with the shoes inside, and then turn the dryer on.
Your shoes won’t bang against the dryer drum and you won’t have to deal with tangled laces afterwards either.

I have been using vinegar for over 30 years because besides replacing the fabric softener, it also helps with odor. I was a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and worked hard to discourage parents from using fabric softener/fabric sheets. They coat fabric and decreases absorption (towels, cloth diapers, tee shirts). Also, it can cause dermatitis in infants and young children. Do we know what chemicals are in the softeners? Vinegar is non-allergenic and a lot less expensive.
They sound useful and I already use vinegar in my rinse cycle.
