Vicks VapoRub has been a household staple for decades, mainly for easing congestion and soothing coughs.

But beyond its mentholated magic, it turns out this little blue jar has some surprising beauty uses too.

Here are five simple beauty hacks that use Vicks VapoRub.

Vicks VapoRub

1. Make a Relaxing Shower Steamer

Turn your shower into a mini spa experience using Vicks. Scoop a small amount into a shallow dish on the shower floor, somewhere where it won't trip you up and away from direct water spray.

As the steam builds, the menthol and eucalyptus scent releases into the air, creating a refreshing, spa-like atmosphere that can help you relax and breathe easier.

2. Smooth Rough Elbows and Knees

Elbows and knees are often the first to show dryness, especially in colder months. Vicks helps soften and smooth these rough patches. Apply a small amount to the area, massage in circular motions, and leave it on for a while.

3. Soft, Healthy Cuticles

If you’re someone who constantly battles dry, cracked cuticles, Vicks can help soften them fast. Just apply a tiny amount to each cuticle and massage gently for a minute or two.

Leave it on overnight and wash your hands in the morning. The menthol and eucalyptus oils help soothe irritation, while the petroleum jelly base locks in hydration. Your nails will look instantly healthier and feel less brittle.

4. Control Frizz and Flyaways

For those days when your hair just won’t cooperate, a tiny amount of Vicks can help smooth frizz and flyaways.

Rub a very small amount between your fingertips and lightly smooth over the top layer of hair or along the hairline.

Just be careful not to overdo it, or you might end up with greasy hair.

5. Heal Cracked Heels

If you struggle with cracked heels, Vicks can be a quick fix to help soften the skin. Apply it to clean, dry heels, then put on cotton socks and leave it overnight. In the morning, gently scrub with a pumice stone.

Final Thoughts

Vicks VapoRub can be a handy multi-tasker for your beauty woes. Just remember: less is more, and avoid using it on broken or extremely sensitive skin.

This is a bit dangerous, I don't like to post negativity. But Anyway near the eyes will certainly irritate them, The smell is so strong and it will get to your eyes before your nose, especially placing in on eyebrows. It will make your eyes run. With water, blurred vision. Ect. When me and my sister were kids. We put only a little bit on our cheeks " I don't know why ? Maybe to be a blusher for red cheeks, 'please note we were young! My sister cried has it burnt her cheek, And mine to even once we washed it of, our eyes were a mess very red and swollen, not the look we wanted. My mum went mad obviously. The smell is just to strong, Near the eyes is a bit silly. Use olive oil, or coconut oil, to tame or for growth for eyebrows and hair is my top. No harsh smells
