How to DIY Gorgeous Fall Jewelry​ Using a Fun UV Resin Technique

In this tutorial, I’ll show you one of my favorite UV resin techniques. It’s simple, striking, and gives your fall jewelry that professional “you-know-what-you’re-doing” look.

I’m preparing for a fall craft fair, so I’m leaning into autumn-inspired colors while experimenting with a few new combinations.

The goal is to create resin earrings with a stylish gap in the middle that gives them a modern and chic finish.

Tools and materials:

• UV resin
• UV flashlight or curing lamp
• Circle or teardrop bezels
• Popsicle sticks or small mixing tools
• Tape
• Mica powders: coffee brown, orange (“knackerat”), wine red, ruby, and sunset shades
• Alcohol inks (optional, for testing new effects)

1. Mix and color your resin

Start with your darker color. For example, brown on the bottom and orange on top.

Use a popsicle stick to apply a thin layer, leaving a small gap in the center.

That empty space gives your piece that professional, “intentional design” look.

4. Flash cure quickly

UV resin is a liquid until cured, so it tends to creep up the sides of the bezel.

Use your flashlight or curing lamp right away to set it in place before it spreads too much.

Once it firms up, flip the bezel and cure the back side too, otherwise it’ll stay sticky.

5. Experiment with color combinations

Try these combos and see which you like best:

• Brown + Orange: classic fall tones, warm and earthy.
• Red Wine + Orange: cozy, caramel-apple vibes.
• Red + Orange + Yellow: a sunset effect that fades beautifully from deep to light.

When layering multiple colors, start with the darkest at the bottom and move toward lighter shades.

6. Cure completely

Once you’re happy with your color mix, cure thoroughly on both sides until fully hardened.

7. Candy corn variation (optional)

For a fun seasonal twist, try triangular bezels and fill them with white, orange, and yellow layers to mimic candy corn. They make adorable fall earrings or gifts.
