2. Alternate scrubbing with a toothbrush

Next, take a toothbrush, dip it into the mixture, and start scrubbing the bristles of your hairbrush.

Make sure to alternate between scrubbing with the toothbrush and dipping it back into the cleaning solution to keep the bristles well-coated.

Soaking the hairbrush

3. Soak the brush

Once you’ve scrubbed thoroughly, place your hairbrush into the bowl and let it soak for about 10-15 minutes. Soaking allows the solution to penetrate deeper, loosening any stubborn residue.

4. Rinse and dry

After soaking, remove the brush from the mixture, rinse it well under warm running water, and then place it on a towel to dry.

I agree with Kathy (above). Unless your brush has a wooden handle, it is much easier to simply use a comb to take off the hair, then put it in the dishwasher. Works great! Before that, decades ago, my mom taught me to put some shampoo in the sink with the water, maybe soak it a bit, then if you have at least 2 brush rub together & rinse!
