Mind Blowing Way to Upgrade Your Basic Top
I came up with one of my favorite fashion hacks on the spur of the moment.
I intended to wear these white beads in a more conventional way, to tie together my dark top and white pants.
Then I thought what a good trim they would make for my top. But I didn’t have time to sew them on.
Tools and materials:
- Plain round neck long-sleeved top
- Long loop of pearls or beads
1. Basic top
My top is as plain and simple as you can get. It’s made of a smooth, fine fabric that drapes well. That’s about it.
2. White beads
My string of beads is also plain and simple, with no sharp attachments. It’s about two feet (60 cm) long when closed into a loop.
3. Loop those beads
Put the beads inside your top, so one end of the loop comes out at the neckline and the other end stays at the lower edge.
Hold on to one end of the loop with each hand.
Bring the lower loop up inside the top loop and pull it through gently.
Keep hold of the bottom loop with both hands and pull it up over your head and behind your neck.
4. Adjust the front
Let the main loop fall into place.
With one hand, hold the double string of beads below the small loop.
With the other hand, slide the small loop upwards until it reaches the neckline of your top.
Tuck your top and the free end of the beads into your pants or skirt.
Easy fashion hack to upgrade a basic top
Your basic top has suddenly become an elegant and classy, bead trimmed blouse.
This would work beautifully with a chunky gold chain necklace too. Just make sure it’s strong enough to withstand the looping through.

You are so talented!
No
No and why would you do this if you have to wear 2 tops or let your belly hang out? I notice you have on two tops, that’s just uncomfortable.
