How to Style a Scarf With Your Button-up
When you want to add a scarf to a button-up shirt, I bet you usually tuck it under the shirt collar, right?
Well, check out this way to style a scarf with your button-up, and you’ll open a whole new world of scarf-wearing!
Tools and materials:
- Large square scarf
- Button-up shirt
1. Fold your scarf
Start by folding your large square scarf into a triangle.
Fold the triangle up until you have a long thin rectangle.
2. How to wear your scarf
Hold the rectangular scarf in the middle.
Tuck the folded end of your scarf into the top of your shirt and pull it through the space between the top and the second button of your shirt.
Feed the tail of your scarf through the opening of the top part you just pulled through.
Tighten the knot like you would a men’s neck tie.
Leave it loose, or try tucking the tail into a lower space between buttons for a more polished look.
3. Experiment with fabric
Try creating this scarf style with different fabrics, because they all hang differently and bring a slightly different vibe to the look.
